Levels

What is a level?

A level, also known as a Lemniscate, is an infinite, irregular, and unstable liminal space that repeats itself forever. All levels are different and unique; some are safe, while others are not, introducing variety inside the datapack itself, making exploration the main goal. A level is created when a Repeating Axle collapses, with The Reception being the main example. Each and every level is divided and assigned into a class, all of which are distinguished based on three criteria:

  1. The level's physical structure (Euclidean, non-Euclidean)
  2. How much of the level is explored
  3. The level's entities

Are all levels infinite?

Most levels are, although there are some exceptions, for example, The Reception itself. Other levels also have different areas that are not infinite, like The Tower's top, The House's main area, etc.

How can I escape a level?

All the levels' exits are different. To travel between levels, you need to find the gateways—black void-like spaces that can hide behind doors, up some stairs, in a pit, on the ground, practically anywhere. But thanks to this wiki, you can read about all the levels' exits and gateways, how they look, and where to find them. When a gateway has the possibility of helping a wanderer escape, it is called a "RIFT."

What extactly is a RIFT?

A RIFT, which stands for Reality Interference and Fluctuation Threshold, is an endpoint that leads from the Lemniscates to reality. Based on how many paths are currently released, the percentage of finding a RIFT is divided by the total number of paths. When a world is loaded, within the ending levels' gateways, one of them is chosen as the final RIFT
